WIW - Week 15

Its been 15 weeks since I started. Progress hasn't been perfect, even with great amounts of effort. Im down another 1.8 lbs today so that's a total of 23.2 since I started back in August. But this journey started a long time ago and this morning I reflected on how far I've come. Today, I am... (in order that events happened)

3lbs away from my wedding weight

1 lb below my pre-pregnancy weight. (yeah not even close to looking like that - but at least my mirrors are clean today)

52 lbs lower than my final pregnancy weight

And lets not even count the post-natal steroid bloat. Being on prednsione for 4 months of your pregnancy, only to have it pushed through your veins for 3 straight days.....  its just not fair.

I did start attempting to work out quickly after the baby, but when you consume junk food and beer daily to help you cope with being a new mom.... the weight just isn't going to melt off.  Wish I could have told this to my 1-week post-pregnancy self. Oh well.

My body has changed so much over the past 7 years. It has carried 3 pregnancies and one to full term. Too many steroids to count have been ingested by my body to help me breathe.  My pants are baggy (giving me awesome saggy butt). I have stretch marks all over my belly and hips. My shoulders lean forward a bit from carrying an oversized cute baby/toddler.  (lift with legs, not back mommas). My core is shot to hell and I'm working hard to gain it back. So when I took this last picture I was a bit suprised. And happy. That sort of looks like a flat tummy. Sort of. ;-)

My body is not perfect, but I think I can be more proud of this picture than any of those above.
23.2 lbs and counting.
